EDIT: THIS TOOL IS ABSOLUTELY USELESS ON 6TH GENERATION INTEL CPU. All the quote are wrong for the skylake cpu. The die is too low respect the grid so there is no contact between wb and die.

Ah i forgot to mention that i take also the MSI guard for delidded CPU.

I will try to make a schematic for those components. And if i will have some time, maybe the code. Meanwhile, you should install Arduino IDE on your pc. www.arduino.cc/en/main/software .

IO/s , I am a bit late i see.

I would have suggested the arduino UNO (because it is very popular!) although i hate its big old USB port and it operates at +5 V
The DUE board (+3,3 V) has a lot of features more (and a lovely mini USB port :P ), but to control a couple of sensors and a display... the UNO is enough. All available libs for the UNO are always good updated. So you did a good choice there.

Then, SunFounder is the best source for sensors and kits... (on Amazon). But also this you already know...

I am looking for the monitor you told me: PG278QR and I am seriously considering a new case... Here is my custom actual  (ok this is just the 2nd PC with a 2600K and 970 GTX - with no space for power cables to the VGA)

You are a case butcher ! :yekk:

1)about arduino:
I have seen the "due" version but as you told for control a couple of sensor the "uno" si enough (and is the first one for me). The "due" it cost twice (and is a little bigger) for do same thing (for my need) ? I putted the difference money in the sleeve cable for a better integration.
The big usb could be more robust than the small one. So maybe for this side is more useful.
I have seen that the "uno" support is amazing...now i'm waiting some hardware more and than l'll start to play with all those toys!
I have to decide some things after that i retrieve all the pieces . Im not sure where to place all the arduino stuffs.
I mean...probably ill build a plexy box for a nice integration. I have to thake the signal from the can for liquid temp and from the flow sensor. Probably ill use a back usb port and il put the lcd on the top of the case. I'll see...

2)about the monitor:
Keep in mind that a TN monitor have not a huge quality for picture , angle of view and for a huge reading experience.
The monitor i suggest you is not free from problematics. The PG278QR is for gaming an amazing monitor!
Buy it from amazon if you can. For a matter of warranties. Those TN panels are far than perfect . You could find huge defective production. For example an irregular back light, strange pixels rendering etc etc.
Look my exact model what can produce:
www.overclock.net/t/1526956/guide-to-the...h-the-asus-rog-swift
Your panel will be not that far from mine.
SO I suggest to you to buy it where you can change it faster in case of problems , and amazon is really efficient for this. Good luck!

3)For the case:
around there are tons of very good ATX case...read more than you can about the model you like.
Still here buy it where you can change it faster. During shipment some can be scratched or damaged for negligence.

Hi IO/s,

thanks for the link.
I am a happy owner of a PB278Q --> color quality excellent! But not for gamers (high input lag and only 60 Hz) :-/

I have also bought recently a 4K LG 43UH661V to be used as 4x FHD monitor... I really need a big area for work  but again input lag above 30 ms... so now I really want to replace my old LG 60Hz 1ms with something more... "useful".

PS: I "modified" the case the day I got my 1080GTX... and moved my 970GTX to my second PC (which had a 750Ti without need for extra power than from the PCI-E bus). It took me 20 minutes (mainly to "round" the border: they were sharp like razor blades after I cut the 2 holes) ::cool::

Ok finally got the 7700K after breaking the 6700K. I successfully delided it and placed at 5Ghz for day use:

Then i placed a small thin line of super attak on the old black silicon trace. And quickly but with precision i closed back to the original position the IHS.

Ti scrivo in inglese altrimenti gli altri non capiscono ;)

Yep, this work take me a "lots" of time , there was not a project back what you see... It was just an idea in "progress".
The mess i had before make me move to buy a new case . I have a E-ATX mobo , and 2 vga so i need lots of space and in general in this assembly i wanted have the maximum order for the components. Was a sort of challenge against the mess.
In general i can say that im satisfied . I could produce something of "perfect" but i admit that also i need to use the computer not just modding it. I spend money and time so...yes is also a passion

The X71 tempered glass case cost 195e.
I broke the 6700K and bought the "new" 7700K 430e.
The rest of the system that is not that special and is:
-1080 Palit
-RX480 Strix for PCI passthrough under linux
-32Gb Gskill
-EVGA 4way mobo
-950pro M2 500GB linux
-850evo 500GB win10
-vertex3 120gb win7 for UT
-2TB IronWolf pro
Boh , the case filled i dont know can cost more or less 2500e+
Now i have to play with the arduino end other stuffs.

What about the monitor you choose ? Is arrived? Are you satisfied?
